Perfect Pixie Series: A Positive Perspective

This book has popped up in my recommended section of Kindle Unlimited about a gazillion times. And clearly that section knows me better than I thought because I absolutely adored this entire series. The romances in each book are absolutely adorable with a dash of spice.

Romance #1: Phil and Sedrick

The first book in this series is a fantasy take on the maid/nanny and businessman romance trope. It is incredibly cozy as Phil, the 6 foot tall pink pixie, attempts to turn the absolute mess of a house into an actual home while Sedrick, the buff werewolf, tries to deal with his niece and nephew’s psychotic grandfather trying to get custody of the children. This romance definitely counts as a slow burn, but there is a HEA by book’s end.

Romance #2: Peaches and Lucroy

A sunshine-loving pixie, Peaches, who thrives on tending to his apple orchard and a vampire king who will disintegrate in the sun sounds like an odd pairing. Especially when you consider the vampire rumor that pixie blood is toxic. Most risk averse people would avoid the possibility of imminent death, but surely a love that feels so right can’t be deadly… surely?

Romance #3: Parsnip and Vander

This one might be my favorite. The series does get a little darker with this book. We get introduced to some pretty traumatic stuff that has only been hinted at in previous books: i.e. ogres kidnapping pixies to get high off their pixie dust. The exploration of coping with trauma and learning to love yourself again is beautifully done.

Romance #4: Wendall and Rayburn

Zombies are often neglected in the genre of fantasy romance. Most would consider this a given due to the lack of coherent thought and rapidly decaying flesh. Marrying a fairy will keep Wendall, the absolute cinnamon roll of a zombie alive, but, because Wendall is the most precious character in this whole series, he refuses to bind Ray to an eternity with someone he doesn’t love.

Romance #5: Phlox and Leon

It’s hard to be bait for the pixie trafficking ring when a vampire keeps tailing you. Leon knows he should back off, but he can’t stop thinking about Phlox and can’t stand the idea of him being hurt. Which is adorable, but really interferes with Phlox’s job as an undercover agent.

Each book is technically a standalone, especially the first three books, but you should definitely read them all in order to get a better understanding of the world and the characters. What starts as a side plot in the first book gradually builds until coming to a dramatic head in the series finale.

The entire series is just so good. The relationships, the world-building, the side characters, the conflicts, the main characters are all so good. I can’t rave enough about it. Definitely give this series a read.
