What movies or TV series have you watched more than 5 times?

As a child in the early 2000’s, vampires were absolutely everywhere which suited my weird childhood self just fine. I was obsessed. I tried to persuade my parents to let me decorate my room in a vampire theme. Unsurprisingly, my Southern Baptist parents said no to that.

If there was a book or a movie about vampires, chances are that I devoured it, repeatedly. There was no movie that I devoured more than The Little Vampire. I could recite the entire movie, even the parts that were not in English, from start to finish. I would rush home from school to rewatch it. I was positively obsessed with it.

If you don’t remember this gem of a movie, you are missing out. The kid from Stuart Little plays a kid who has trouble fitting in after his family moves to Scotland. He meets a vampire boy who is about his age, and they strike a friendship. His vampire family is cursed and our protagonist has to help them break the curse, the fact that he can move in the sunlight makes him a huge asset.

I distinctly remember having a crush on the main boy vampire’s older brother who was the epitome of a surly teen which my elementary school brain thought was just the coolest thing ever.

It’s just a fun movie despite relatively low review scores from all the major reviewers. It is charming and funny and gives some child-friendly spooks for good measure.
