Being an ambitious woman or really just a woman with goals and dreams is often the prerequisite for being the villain of the romance novel. Because you should always follow your heart and let love guide you, fiscal planning be damned.

That is one of the reasons that I absolutely loved this book. The main character, Nora, comes across as the disgruntled business woman in a Hallmark movie who just needs to find love with a sexy and conveniently rich Christmas tree farmer.

But she is completely unapologetic about it. She is a bad ass, a boss babe who excels in her life and is happy about it.

She does not need to move to a small town and have 2.5 kids and a white picket fence to be happy. Wanting those things are all fine, but as women, we are often pressured that those are the only things we should want. Women are often pressured that their life will be less fulfilling without those things. Which, quite frankly, is not always true.

There is humor, steam, and positive family relationships.

The male lead is not the most attractive guy in the story.

This book is just so good that I’ve already read it twice.
