Set in a world where werewolves and vampires have "come out" and are considered, legally at least, a type of human. Vampires, with their long lives and thick pocket books, had an easier go of it and mostly live in the cities. Werewolves mostly keep to rural parts of the country, living on pack territory- land officially sanctioned by the federal government for that purpose. This first book in an urban fantasy series is set in the small (fictional) town of Mount Clive, Tennessee. The town's unofficial name is The City Between The Wolves due to being sandwiched between two werewolf packs with another smaller clan living on the hill on the edge of town. The series follows the town and its inhabitants as they navigate their world and their neighbors.

Book Blurb:

When crime happens in a big city, that is normal, an almost common occurrence. When it happens in a small backwater town, now that is just plain “inconvenient”.

At least that's what Deputy Sheriff Dusty Taylor would say about it. When a murder happens at the edge of town just outside of werewolf pack territory, Dusty would almost say things just got complicated.

That's not what Brett would think. She's the lady that found the body when just running around in the woods. And she's the type to get involved.

Lord knows the whole town is screwed if the politicians get hold of this, pointing fingers at the wolf clan on the hill. The whole town doesn't have the manpower to cash that check. This is gonna be a long investigation.
